The shastras name four Adi Shakti Pithas - the four that arose from the very limbs of Sati, set apart from the fifty-one. Bimala pada khandancha, sthana khandancha Tarini, Kamakshya yoni khandancha, mukha khandancha Kalika. Three of these four are in Odisha, and this circuit gives darshan of both. It opens at Biraja, where the navel of Sati fell and the tantra order of Utkala takes its root. It stands before Bimala at Puri, the Pada Khanda, the feet of the Devi, before whom every Mahaprasad must pass. And it closes upon the Kumari hills above the Rushikulya at Tara Tarini, the Stana Khanda, where the Mother is worshipped as twin Devis since a time beyond record. Removed at every shrine. Carry socks for the hot stone.

Phones, cameras, leather items and bags prohibited. No photography inside.
Etiquette
Do not touch idols or offerings. Circumambulate clockwise. Direct any approach for paid rituals to our representative.

Request at booking. Pinda dana needs forty-eight hours' notice. Rates vary by temple.
